FROM OUR ADMINISTRATOR
August 2009
Our summer break from school is coming to an end and it is time to focus ahead to an exciting new school year. I have included some helpful information below.
Our Open House and Student Orientation will be held on Friday night, August 21, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. There will be no formal meeting held but the classrooms will be open for drop-in visitation.
Student lunches will cost $3.00 this year. This is an increase of $.25 from last year. Although there has been an increase in our cost to purchase food, we have not increased the cost of lunches for two years. As in the past, you will be charged monthly for all lunches purchased during that month. This amount will be billed to your account. This cost increase will be effective on August 3, 2009.
We are adding another high school course to our middle school program. We have offered Algebra to our advanced 8th grade students for many years. This year we are offering Integrated Physical Science I to all qualifying 8th grade students. This will allow these students to enter high school with two high school credits.
A final note is to inform you that Mrs. Diane Walton will be retiring on July 31. Mrs. Walton has served at Trinity Christian School for 28 years in the capacity of elementary teacher, preschool teacher, Preschool Director, and Preschool Coordinator. We are excited that she will be able to pursue some of her interests outside of the school walls. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will remain.
God has blessed Trinity Christian School beyond measure. Even during financially difficult times for our country, God continues to provide for His people. We all need to remember to count our blessings and thank God for His grace and mercy.
See you soon,
Beverly E. Smith
Administrator
P.S. Don't forget the required summer reading. Time is running out.
